Piña Colada Festival

The origins of the Piña Colada may be disputed here in Puerto Rico, but one thing for sure is this iconic drink is a must try while you are here.

To celebrate the Piña Coladas popularity and iconic status in Puerto Rico, the Piña Colada Festival will be held at various establishments in Old San Juan on July 9 – 11, 2021.

So, what exactly is the Piña Colada Festival. It’s a celebration, it’s $4 for six ounces of Piña Colada and specialty cocktails at participating bars and establishments.

Just wander around to the participating establishments and enjoy; classic Piña Coladas, Piña Coladas on the Rocks, Fruit Coladas, Specialty Coladas and even Virgen Coladas.

Some of the specialty drinks will include mojitos, margaritas, martinis, coquito and locally brewed beer.

The following is just a sample of the bars and establishments participating in this year’s Piña Colada Festival:

  • Barrachina
  • Hecho en Casa
  • Restaurante Raices
  • Vaca Brava
  • Muelle 13 (on the rocks colada)
  • Al Fresco (fruit colada)
  • Balcon de Moreno (unique colada)
  • Douglas Pub (unique colada)
  • Sabor Frappe (virgen colada)
  • La Verguenza (mojito)
  • A’huevo (cocktail)
  • La Taberna Lupulo (beer)
