Based at the Rampa las Crayola in La Parguera, Caribbean Chillboats offer an alternative to kayaking with their stylish water bikes. These dual pontoon watercraft, glide through the water propelled by pedal power, just like riding a bike.
Caribbean Chillboats currently have two models of water bikes.
- Up right model – rider sits as on a typical bicycle (currently have 2 available)
- Recreation model – rider is reclined and sits lower to the pontoons (currently have 8 available)
- For both models power is generated by pedaling and handlebars are used to steer the craft
Caribbean Chillboats offer basic water bike rental or an organized tour.
Water Bike Rental
Fixed route from Club Náutico de la Parguera to the main “Canal de la Parguera”. There is a minimum height limit of 4ft 5inches and a maximum weight limit of 260lbs. The cost of the rental is $35 per hour.
Rentals are available Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 8:00am to 3:00pm with appointment. Monday to Friday, excluding Holidays, the service will be available with prior appointment for minimum groups of 5 people.
Caribbean Chillboat Tours
Caribbean Chillboats currently offer 4 tours with pricing starting at $65pp plus taxes. A deposit of $25 is required. You must arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the tour, to complete the paperwork and be fitted for the water bike.
Tour 1 – Chileo a Caracoles
This is a 2 hour tour with a recommended fitness Level: 1. You should be able to walk for 1 hour without stopping.
The tour takes you through the “Canal Principal”, Pájaros island and ends at Caracoles where you will have 30 minutes to rest an d explore before returning back to the starting point.
The tour costs $65pp and includes a bottle of water and a snack.
This tour is only available Saturday, Sunday and Holidays leaving at 8:00am or 11:00am.During the week the tour is available for groups of 3 to 10 people.(most reserve in advance)
Tour 2 – Chileo en los Cayos
This is a 3 hour tour with a recommended fitness Level: 1. You should be able to walk for 1 hour without stopping.
The tour takes you through the “Canal Principal”, Pájaros island, and to “Cayo Caracoles” or “Cayo Mata (approx 35-45 minutes). You will then head on over to “Cayo Enrique” (approx 15-2minutes), where you will have 3o minutes to rest and explore before heading back to the starting point
The cost is $95pp and includes a bottle of water and a snack
The tour is available Saturday, Sunday and Holidays leaving at 8:00am or 1:00pm. Weekdays it is available for groups of 3 to 10 people (most reserve in advance)
Tour 3 – Vuelta Oeste
This is a 3 hour tour with a recommended fitness Level: 2. Should be able to walk for 2 hour non stop or 30 minutes of aerobics twice a week.
The tour takes you through “Los canales de La Parguera” and then navigating to “Cayo El Collado” (60 minutes) where you will have 30 minutes to rest and explore before returning through the “Los canales de La Parguera”.
The cost is $95pp and includes a bottle of water and a snack
The tour is available Saturday, Sunday and Holidays leaving at 8:00am. Weekdays it is available for groups of 3 to 10 people.
Tour 4 – La Parguera 360
This is a 3 hour tour with a recommended fitness Level: 3. Should be able to walk for 3 hour non stop or 60 minutes of aerobics twice a week.
The tour takes you to Pájaros Island, “Cayo Caracoles” and “Cayo Mata la Gata” with a 20 minute stop in “Cayo Enrique”. Then 2.5 miles of sea rafting to Cayo El Collado with a 30 minute. Stop to relax and explore before returning through the “Canales de La Parguera” to the starting point
The tour cost is $125pp and includes 3 bottles of water and a snack
This tour is available Saturday, Sunday and Holidays leaving at 8:00am for a minimum of 5 people Weekdays is available for groups of 3 people. (most reserve in advance)
