Getting There: Directions to Guavate from San Juan

  • Take Hwy 52 south (this is a toll road)
  • Exit at Exit 32 – Guavate
  • Turn left and follow PR-184 up the mountain

The road curves its way through scenic forest hills and eventually reaches the Carite Forest Reserve. You’ll spot lechoneras all along the way. Most are located just after the junction with PR-763, so take your pick.
